About us
Bird & Bloom consists of Rebecca and Maddie Rose - mom and daughter (and best buddies!). With Rebecca on keys and vocals, and Maddie on cello and vocal harmonies, they add a new dimension to songs from across the decades. Rock, pop, musical theater, country, folk....they've got a little bit of everything.

You'll find them playing at wine shops, bar and grills, coffee shops, supper clubs, street fairs, and benefit concerts. They are also available for private parties and special events like weddings.

Maddie and Rebecca have always loved making music - for most of their lives, they devoted their musical talents to church and school groups...but in summer of 2020 they started playing out at open mics and found a passion for creating their own covers of all the music they love...plus a few originals as well. They are always looking for new songs and genres to explore, and new areas to perform in.

Rebecca "Bird" Ivkovich

Rebecca is a music specialist with Racine Unified School District. She also teaches private piano and voice lessons. When she's not playing music, she can be found outside as much as possible whether it be in her garden or sitting next to a good campfire. Her love of music developed at an early age listening to her parents sing along to The Beatles and lead music at church. She begged for piano lessons until that dream came true when she was twelve years old. Since then, music has continued to be her great passion and it brings her joy to share it with other people.
Maddie "Bloom" Rose

Maddie has been playing the cello since 2012 when she picked it up in the fifth grade with her school's orchestra. Growing up in a very musically inclined family inspired her to learn how to play every instrument she could get her hands on, mainly the piano, trumpet, electric bass, and cello. After a decade, the cello has become her main instrument of choice and she delights in seeing the surprise on people's faces when she arrives at venues with a massive instrument case slung over her shoulder. Outside of music, she is pursuing a career in the film industry (she hopes to get started on some Bird & Bloom music videos in the near future!).
